- Star Trek, especially the Original Series and Deep Space Nine
- The animated Batman universe created by Paul Dini
- Ridiculous Britcoms, especially As Time Goes By (not very ridiculous, actually) and Are You Being Served? (probably the lowest point of British humour)
- Redheads of both sexes
- Strong black tea with abundant milk and sweetener
- Early jazz, such as Bix Beiderbecke, Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, and Django Reinhardt
- Big band and swing music
- Chocolate
- Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse novels, but no other novels featuring vampires
- Male Submission Art (you may not want to click here if your boss, your little child, or your mom or dad is hovering around)
- Diane Duane’s Young Wizards novels
- Colin Morgan and Bradley James of the BBC’s Merlin
- Swords

Big band and swing music
Pink Martini? (pinkmartini (d0t) com (slash) home, if you’re not familiar…)
Erik, my husband is a fan of Pink Martini! I have heard at least one of their recordings. Strange but wonderful stuff. *g*
“World jazz” is not that strange, surely…
I haven’t seen “As Time Goes By”, but I dearly love “Waiting For God” and “Vicar of Dibley” – and, to a lesser extent, “AYBS” and “Keeping Up Appearances”. BTW, did you know that Patricia Routledge (God bless her, she’s wonderful in everything) did a mystery series as well? With a (quite young) Dominic Monaghan, no less – “Hetty Wainthrop Investigates”. Worth a look.
